1000th board repair this week, still shocked by the board that did it
I hit my 1000th laptop motherboard repair on Thursday, according to my ticket log. The one that did it was a common HP board with a dead GPU, the kind I've done maybe 300 times. But for the first time in my career, the reflow actually cracked the die on the first attempt. Had to order a donor board and wait two days. Kind of felt like the universe saying "congrats, here's a curveball." Has anyone else hit a nice round number and gotten a totally unexpected failure right at that mark?
