That $400 Kirby vacuum cleaner I bought off a guy in the parking lot
I gave 400 bucks to a dude at a Home Depot lot who swore it was a commercial grade unit for underwater cleaning gear. Turns out it was just a regular vacuum, rusted out after one use near a wetwell. Anyone else get burned by a random parking lot sale?

Jumping in here, but is it really that big of a deal? You bought a vacuum out of a parking lot. What did you actually expect? Like, a guy with a van full of appliances in a Home Depot lot isn't exactly a certified distributor. The whole commercial underwater cleaning gear thing sounds like a tall tale you kinda wanted to believe. A vacuum is a vacuum, and water usually kills them. I think a lot of folks just need to laugh off a bad buy and move on instead of making a whole thing out of it.

Fair enough, @william816. I once bought a "waterproof" blender from a guy in a minivan, and it blended about as well as a fork in a puddle. Guess I wanted to believe in miracle kitchen gadgets too. At least I got a funny story out of it.
