My drysuit neck seal gave out during a 30-foot dive in the Puget Sound last Tuesday
Water started trickling in at 15 feet and by the time I hit the bottom it was a full-on cold shower down my back. Has anyone else had a seal fail mid-job and had to finish a shift soaking wet?

Getting a cold shower down my back" is exactly what happened to me on a sewer inspection dive near the Ballard Locks. That silicone neck seal just popped right off the latex. I carry a spare neck seal and a tube of Aquaseal in my truck now. If you're stuck mid shift, some guys swear by wrapping a drysuit zipper lube tube around the neck and tucking it under your undergarment to slow the flood. But honestly, once that latex splits, you're going to be wet and miserable until you can get topside and swap it out.

Yeah, just a heads up - Aquaseal is for patching neoprene and latex, not silicone. You want Sil-Net or a similar silicone-specific adhesive if you're carrying a spare silicone neck seal.
