Just finished a job in the Gulf and saw two totally different ways to handle a silt-out

One crew on the barge next to us would just stop and wait for it to clear, which took forever. Our lead diver had us switch to a low-flow water jet to gently push the silt away from the work area without making it worse. We got our weld inspection done in maybe 20 minutes while they were still sitting there. It was a simple tool change but made a huge difference in visibility and time. What's your go-to move when you hit a bad silt cloud?

That other crew probably still has silt in their coffee cups by now.

Silt in their coffee cups" is too real, I've been that guy staring into brown soup. My go-to is just backing off real slow and letting it settle, which works great if you have all day. Not my finest problem solving moment, honestly.
