Heard an old timer at the yard in Galveston say he never sends a guy down without checking his own gauge first
I laughed it off at the time but after my third dive last month where my console read 200 psi off from the panel, it hit different. Anybody else got a pre dive habit like that they picked up from someone older?
Man that old timer knew what he was talking about. I check my own gauge before every single dive now, no exceptions. Got burned once when my console was reading way off from what the panel said and it scared me good. That old guy's habit saved his guys a lot of trouble I bet. Takes two seconds and it's worth it every time.
