Appreciation post: the 20 year old dive knife that saved my air line near Port Aransas
Three years ago my primary reg got tangled in some old crab trap line about 40 feet down near the jetties and my backup was on a necklace behind my head, so I had to go for the knife on my leg. The tip snapped off clean, but that cheap serrated edge cut through in maybe 8 seconds and got me breathing again. Has anyone else had a blade fail on them mid cut, and what are you carrying now because I'm not sure I trust the same setup twice?
