Tried reading Silver Age X-Men for the first time. Found it almost unreadable.

Start by admitting that Silver Age comics are a HUGE struggle for me too. The writing is SO wordy with characters constantly explaining what's happening in the panels. You basically have to FORCE yourself through the first few issues just to get to the good stuff.

I swear reading Silver Age comics feels like you need a decoder ring and a dictionary just to get through one page. I half expect them to show up with footnotes at the bottom like "The character is pointing at a door, which readers might not recognize as an exit.
