The thing people keep getting wrong about Silver Age comics
I keep seeing new collectors say Silver Age comics are easy to find in high grade because so many were printed. But they forget newsstands trashed these things in the 60s. I picked up a raw Amazing Spider-Man #50 from 1967 at a shop in Portland last month and it looked like someone used it as a coaster for a month. If you want a 9.0 copy of that book you're looking at $2000 plus, not the $300 you see for beat up ones.

Are you buying slabbing just to crack them open for reading copies?
