The day I stopped bagging my floppies in plastic sheaths
I've been collecting comics since I was 14 and I always double bagged everything in Mylar. Last month my buddy Mike at the shop pointed out moisture beads forming inside one of my old X-Men issues. I realized I was trapping humidity in there this whole time while the paper slowly rotted. Now I just use one bag with a silica pack and keep them in a dry room. Anyone else ever wreck a book by being too careful?

Think about what grade of Mylar you were using. The older stuff from the 90s didn't breathe at all compared to what's out now. Did you check if the bags you had were actually Mylar or just a heavier poly?
