The day comic shop employees stopped treating me like a tourist

When I first started buying comics three years ago at Heroes Aren't Hard To Find in Charlotte, I was the guy asking which issue had the coolest cover. Now I walk in every Wednesday and the clerk just nods and hands me my pull box without a word. What moment made you feel like you finally belonged at your local shop?

Man I knew I made it when the guy at the counter stopped asking if I needed help finding something and just said "your pull box is under the counter again, you animal.

Ha, bold take but I'm gonna push back hard on this one. Honestly that moment when the clerk just hands you your pull box without saying anything is kind of a bummer to me. I actually miss the days when I'd walk in and someone would ask what I was into or recommend something weird I'd never heard of. Now it's just a transaction, same as buying milk at the grocery store. Maybe I'm in the minority here but that "you belong now" feeling just felt like I stopped being interesting enough to talk to.
