Dropping event comics for solo series has me rethinking fan engagement.
I spend less and follow plots easier, but I miss out on big group chats. Do you see event comics as vital for being part of the fan community?

Honestly, dropping events is like opting out of the BIG conversations. Those crossover storylines create a shared moment for EVERYONE, a real watercooler thing that solo books just can't match. You lose that huge, buzzing energy where the whole community pieces together clues and freaks out over the same twist. Your group chat about solo titles is fine, but it's not the same as riding that massive hype wave together. Doesn't skipping the event stuff make you feel totally disconnected from the main crowd?

Missing the big event doesn't mean missing out. My small group gets just as hyped about our favorite characters. That shared buzz you talk about, we have it too, just on a smaller scale. It's more personal and we actually finish the stories. The big crossovers often feel messy and forced anyway. Why chase that crowd when my friends and I are having a better time?
