Best comic convention day I ever had was at a small show in Des Moines
Found a long box full of 90s Image comics that some guy was practically giving away at $1 each, and I pulled a near mint copy of Spawn #1 that I flipped for $80 same day to a dealer three tables down; has anyone else ever had a random find like that completely save a slow con weekend?

That $1 long box score turned a dead con into a total win.

Makes you think about how those random low cost scores end up being the glue for a whole show. I saw a guy at a convention last year grab a dollar bin book just to fill a hole in a run. Ended up chatting with the seller for twenty minutes and found out they both collected the same obscure 80s series. That one transaction turned into a trade deal that kept them both coming back to the table all weekend.
