At the local shop, I heard fans bash new readers for skipping origins.
New fans should jump in anywhere, it keeps comics alive (trust me on this).

In the 1990s, Marvel's 'Heroes Reborn' event confused me because I hadn't read the classic origins. Origins set up why characters do what they do and how they connect to others. Take Batman, for instance. Without knowing his parents' murder, his war on crime feels hollow. How can you fully get his drive if you skip that key moment? Jumping in blind might work for some, but it often leaves gaps in understanding.

Heroes Reborn made me realize I can't skip origins anymore.

Spider-Man's origin with Uncle Ben is a perfect example. That one moment defines every choice he makes later. If you jump into a story without that, you're missing why he never gives up. It's like watching a movie starting from the middle.
