Thought community college was a waste until I took one welding class in Cleveland
I dropped out of a 4-year school in 2021 and swore off everything academic, but that single $180 welding course at Tri-C got me a job offer two weeks later, so has anyone else found one random class that completely changed their mind?

That welding class is a perfect example of how one skill can flip everything. Trade classes at community colleges are slept on hard. Most people think they're just for hobbies, but employers literally need people who can do that stuff. Cleveland has plants and factories everywhere, so a guy who can weld and show up on time is golden. Once you get that first cert, it snowballs too. Next thing you know you're looking at pipe welding or rigging and making real money. That $180 probably paid for itself in the first week on the job.
