Ten years out and I still dream about that botany final
I dropped out of community college in 2013, three semesters in, and the weirdest thing is how often my brain replays that one exam I never took. Everyone talks about the money you save or the freedom you gain, but nobody warns you that the unfinished stuff sticks around like a splinter. I see people fresh out of school panicking because they think dropping out erases everything they learned, and that's just not true. My cleaning business runs on scheduling and chemistry I picked up in those classes, even if I never got the piece of paper. I know I'm not alone because my cousin did the same thing and now he runs a landscaping crew using his old agronomy notes. Does anyone else carry around random knowledge from classes they bailed on, and does it ever stop feeling weird?
