Showerthought: People think dropping out means you gave up
Honestly, I left my program at Ohio State after two semesters because I was already making $800 a week fixing phones at a local shop. Ngl, everyone acted like I was failing, but I was just switching tracks. The real thing people get wrong is thinking a degree is the only path to a good job. I'm now a lead tech at that same shop, and I learned more from hands-on work than any lecture. Has anyone else found a skill that paid off faster than school would have?

My cousin in Phoenix did a six month welding cert at a community college. He was making over 60k a year before most of his friends even graduated. The key is finding a program that's tied directly to local jobs, not just any random class.

Wow, @seth_martinez21, how did your cousin find that specific program?
