My community college transcript got lost and that was the push I needed

I dropped out of Bunker Hill CC in Boston back in March after spending 4 months fighting their records office over a missing transcript from my first semester. The lady on the phone literally said 'it's probably on a cart somewhere,' which cracked me up so hard I just stopped caring about finishing. I started a pet sitting gig for a neighbor and now I've got 12 regular clients and I'm making about $1,800 a month, way more than I ever made working at the campus bookstore. Has anyone else had a school screw up that made quitting feel like the right call instead of a failure?

Hold on before you pop the champagne. You're trading a two year degree for a pet sitting hustle that could dry up next month when one client moves or a big chain pet resort opens nearby. That 1,800 a month sounds great now but it's not exactly a career path with health insurance or a 401k. Schools lose transcripts all the time, that's annoying but it's not a reason to walk away from a credential that actually opens doors later. You fought for 4 months and then quit right at the finish line, that's like running a marathon and stopping at mile 25. The real failure here isn't the school, it's letting a lazy records clerk decide your whole future for you.
