Blew through my savings in 3 months of community college before I quit
I was sitting in the parking lot of my school in Austin after bombing a math test I studied for, and I just sat there for like 20 minutes watching people walk by. Realized I was paying $200 a month for classes I hated just because I felt like I had to go. Has anyone else felt that panic of wasting money on something that just wasn't clicking?

and $200 a month for community college? hold up. that's actually insane. i paid like $60 a credit at my local CC back home and thought that was rough. $200 a month just for classes you don't even like? yeah i'd have quit too. that math test thing hits hard though, i remember bombing a final i actually studied for and just felt like a total fraud. did you end up finding something else that actually worked for you or are you still kind of figuring it out?

Man I had almost the exact same moment but it was in a calc class I was totally lost in. Sitting there staring at the whiteboard like a deer in headlights while the professor kept writing equations. $200 a month sounds brutal though, my CC was like $85 a credit and I still felt ripped off every time I walked out of class. That feeling of watching money disappear while you're not even learning anything is just the worst. I ended up switching to a trade program at the same school, welding actually, which was way better because I could see what I was making and it paid off. Sometimes you gotta just walk away from something that's clearly not working, even if it feels like giving up at first.
