A professor's one-line critique redirected my whole path
Back in 2019 at a community college in Dayton, my English professor wrote 'you bury the good stuff' on my essay. I stopped trying to sound smart and just wrote direct, and that's when I actually started enjoying writing, which led me to a copywriting gig without a degree. Has anyone else had a teacher's comment that stuck with them way past the class ended?

Is that really all it took to change your whole life? Like one comment about burying the good stuff and suddenly you're a copywriter without a degree? I mean sure it's a nice thing a teacher said, but tons of professors say random stuff like that every day. Most people don't turn it into a whole career story. Maybe you just needed a little push and the comment happened to be there at the right time. I just think it's funny how we give so much power to one sentence from someone we barely know. But hey, if it worked for you, whatever works.
