The old diner in my hometown changed their coffee setup and it made me think
I stopped by the Main Street Diner in Springfield last weekend, the place my family always went after church. They used to just have those big glass pots of regular and decaf sitting on burners all day. Now they've got a single group espresso machine and three different pour over stations. I mean, it's cool they're trying, but the waitress told me they only sell about 15 specialty drinks a day. It feels like they're trying to be something they're not, you know? Has anyone else seen a classic spot change their coffee like this?

Ever notice how the new coffee gear is always black and shiny? It just makes a place feel less cozy to me, like a showroom. I miss when things were just warm and a little worn out.
