That $14 pour over dripper changed my morning routine in Denver
About a month ago I picked up a plastic V60 from a shop by Union Station, mainly because the barista there talked me into it after I complained about my drip machine splashing coffee everywhere. I tried it three times at home and the first batch was way too bitter, but then I realized my tap water here is super hard and switched to filtered water from the fridge. Now I use 15 grams of beans to 250 grams of water and it takes maybe 4 minutes total, which is faster than waiting for my old machine. Has anyone else had to tweak their water source when switching to pour over, or is that just a Denver thing?
