Spilled a latte on my laptop at Stumptown in Portland and it changed my whole morning routine

Last Tuesday I was at the Stumptown on SE Belmont in Portland, juggling my drink and bag, and bam, half a latte went straight into my keyboard. I spent the next 3 hours with rice and a hairdryer, and it actually survived, but ngl I now finish my coffee before even touching my laptop. Anyone else had a coffee-related tech disaster that made you rethink how you drink your morning cup?

Oh come on, is it really that deep? You spilled coffee, you dried your laptop (which worked fine, apparently) and now you have to finish your drink before touching it. That's not a life-changing revelation, that's just common sense. I've spilled tea in my bag twice this month and I'm still out here multitasking with an open mug over my keyboard. The rice trick probably saved you $500, so maybe just be grateful for that and move on with your day.

Yeah but @jana179, not everyone lives life on hard mode like you do (spilling tea twice in one month is kinda wild tbh). Some of us freak out when our expensive electronics get wet.
