Shoutout to the barista who told me to add a pinch of salt to my cheap grounds

My drip coffee tasted super bitter for months. Tried it last Tuesday and it actually smoothed the flavor right out.

Works with cheap tea too. A tiny bit of salt cuts the tannic bite without making it taste salty. It's a solid trick for low quality stuff.

My grandma used to do that with her cheap black tea, swore by it.
