My favorite mug just gave out after 8 years of daily use
It was a simple white ceramic one I got from a cafe in Portland... the handle cracked clean off yesterday morning. I didn't even drop it, just poured my usual 12 ounces of french press and it split. I spent the whole day drinking from a regular glass and it just wasn't the same, the heat was all wrong. Has anyone else had a mug they were really attached to just fail? Looking for a good place to find a solid replacement, maybe something local.

The best thrift store mugs are the ones with faded logos from defunct businesses. They carry a whole history that a new mug just can't match. It's like holding a piece of quiet, forgotten time.
