Oh man, that's like saying you stopped using a recipe and your cooking got better! I tried that once and ended up with what I can only describe as "angry coffee" - bitter and full of regret. My scale is probably collecting dust now, but at least my morning ritual is down to just staring at water boiling and guessing when it's done.

Wait, you just stare at boiling water and wing it? That's literally what I do now too, I just dump grounds in and hope for the best. My taste buds have definitely lowered their standards but honestly I'm saving so much mental energy not worrying about ratios and measurements.
