Cold brew ruined my Chemex habit but I don't care

I was at a cafe in Portland last summer and ordered their cold brew on a 95 degree day. The barista handed me a glass with ice and said 'this is the only way to taste the beans' and I wanted to argue. But after 3 sips I realized my hot pour overs were masking so many flavors with bitterness. I went home and started making my own cold brew in a mason jar, 12 hours on the counter. Now I barely touch my Chemex and I know that's going to upset some people here. Has anyone else dropped their go-to method for something completely different?

Honestly, have you tried aeropress yet? It's that weird middle ground where you get cold brew's smoothness but with hot brew's complexity, totally kicked my chemex habit too.

Does using an aeropress mean I finally have to admit my pour-over technique sucks?
