Update: I switched from Python to JavaScript for my first real project

I was building a simple web app and picked Python because everyone said it was easier, but I hit a wall trying to make anything show up in a browser. A friend in Chicago told me to just try JavaScript for a day, and it clicked way faster for the front-end stuff. Anyone else start with one language and switch for a specific project?

Remember @masonpark saying how Python clicked for him after Java? It reminds me how my dad switched from a manual saw to a power drill for certain home projects, not because one's better, but because it just works for what you're actually trying to get done right now.

That "clicked way faster" feeling is how I felt learning Python after struggling with Java in college...
