Stop watching 10 hour Python videos, just retype the code from the docs first
I kept bouncing off Python for two years because I would watch a 12 hour bootcamp on YouTube and then freeze when it was time to write anything myself. Last week I tried something different, I opened the official docs at docs.python.org and just copied the little loops examples by hand into a blank file, then changed the numbers and broke them on purpose. Four days of that and I built a dumb script that renames 300 files in my Downloads folder, first thing I ever made that does a real job. Does anyone else learn better by retyping real code instead of watching someone else type it?
