Spent 3 months manually indenting Python code before I learned about the auto format button

Was complaining to a coworker about how my neck hurt from hitting the space bar 500 times a day and she just laughed and showed me Ctrl+Shift+I, has anyone else had a facepalm moment like that?

@jason_kelly8 that space bar thing is brutal... I used to think manual was better too till someone showed me the light.

Wait, you were hitting the space bar for THREE MONTHS? Oh man, that is SO bad. I did something similar when I first started coding. I spent forever manually aligning my equals signs in Python to make lists look pretty. I was so proud of how clean it looked. Then a coworker saw me doing it and just went "dude, you know it auto formats that stuff right?" I felt like the BIGGEST idiot. Now I hit that auto format button on muscle memory, no way I'm going back to that mess.
