The bracket prediction I laughed at in March actually nailed the whole tournament
I saw some guy on Reddit pick Fairleigh Dickinson to go deep and I literally lol'd at my desk. He ended up with a perfect final four while my spreadsheet bracket fell apart by round two. Has anyone else had a "dumb" pick that turned out way more clutch than your logic?

Happened to me last year when I picked Oral Roberts on a pure whim. Everyone in my pool called me crazy but that pick carried my bracket to the final week. Now I always toss in one "gut feel" pick alongside my data analysis. Just keep it to one or two deep runs max and let the math handle the rest.

Is it just me or does that same logic apply to way more than just brackets? Like I look at my buddies who pick stocks and the ones who throw in one "gut" stock alongside their research always seem to come out ahead over time. @parkerl33 you're onto something with that balance thing. I think we get too caught up in trying to be perfect with data that we forget our brains sometimes pick up patterns the numbers miss. It's like cooking a good meal you follow the recipe but you still add a pinch of salt by feel.
