That missed free throw at my nephew's championship game still bugs me
I was at the local rec center in Cleveland last Saturday watching my nephew's 8th grade title game. His team was down by 1 with 3 seconds left and he got fouled on a drive. Two shots. He missed both. I've been replaying it in my head all week. He's a 70% shooter normally. The pressure just got to him. Has anyone else seen a simple routine play fall apart because the moment was too big?

Oh man, the dreaded free throw line - I swear that's where confidence goes to die. I once airballed two in a row during a charity game in front of maybe 30 people, and I still get sweaty palms thinking about it (and I wasn't even a kid, I was like 32). Your nephew will bounce back though, those moments build character whether we like it or not.

Confidence goes to die" is a good way to put it. I think we've all been that person who practices free throws alone and nails them, but in front of a crowd something just breaks.
