Spent 6 hours fixing a leaky faucet that should have taken 20 minutes
Turned off the water, replaced the washer, put it all back together, turned the water on, and it still dripped, so I tore it apart again just to find a tiny bit of sediment blocking the seal, has anyone else had a simple repair turn into a whole afternoon?

Did you check for sediment BEFORE you put it all back together the first time?

Did my buddy Dave ever tell you about the time he rebuilt his swamp cooler? He was all proud, got it back together, fired it up, and water just started pouring out the seams. Turns out, a little pebble had wedged itself in the drain line. He had to take the whole thing apart again, pulled out this tiny rock, and it worked perfect. He was swearing at that pebble for a week.
