Shoutout to the old timer at AutoZone who fixed my truck with a paperclip

I was stuck at the AutoZone on 3rd street last Tuesday, truck wouldn't start, and this retired mechanic just walked over and jumpered the starter relay with a paperclip from his pocket. Made me realize how often we overthink simple problems when the answer is right in front of us... Has anyone else had a random stranger save your day like that?

Hang on, he just happened to have a paperclip in his pocket? That's wild. Most people can't even find a bobby pin when they need one, let alone a random paperclip that's been floating around for who knows how long. The guy probably had that thing in there since the 80s or something. Makes you wonder what other random stuff he carries around, like a pocket full of fuses and a lucky penny.

Lmao "pocket full of fuses" got me. Dude's probably got three different kinds of twist ties in there too, just in case. Honestly if you've had the same coat since 2005 you're bound to find some ancient treasure in the pockets.
