Update: I just read a report on concrete and it changed my view on building materials
I was looking at a study from the University of Michigan about building materials. It said making a ton of concrete puts about 600 pounds of carbon into the air. I always thought steel was the big problem, but this made me see concrete differently. It's in almost every new building and road project. Has anyone else looked into lower carbon options for basic construction stuff?

600 pounds from just one ton? That's way more than I would have guessed. Makes you wonder what else we're getting wrong about common stuff.
