TIL a heat pump quote in Denver came in at $14k and a $6k furnace plus AC was the other choice
Got two quotes for my 1978 ranch house last week. Option one was a full heat pump swap at $14,200 after the rebates. Option two was a basic furnace and AC for $6,100. I went with the furnace because I could not stomach the gap. Now I keep second guessing whether I should have just eaten the cost. Anyone here actually run the numbers on whether the heat pump pays that back in Colorado?
