Serious question, did that $400 home energy audit actually pay off for anyone here?
I dropped $400 on a full home energy audit back in March after my February gas bill hit $260, and the guy found my attic hatch was basically wide open with no seal. Sealing it cost another $40 in foam and weatherstripping, and my last bill came in at $180. I'm wondering if the bigger stuff he flagged, like new insulation in the crawlspace, is worth the money or if I should just keep doing the cheap fixes myself.
