Update: My fridge went from science experiment to organized in 2 days
I finally cleared out the 14 jars of mystery sauces and half-eaten takeout containers that had been sitting since before my move from Austin, and the difference is like night and day, seriously. But here's the thing, once I threw out the expired stuff and wiped everything down, I realized my problem was never the mess itself, it was buying in bulk without a meal plan, which creates this cycle of waste. Do you think the real fix is smaller shopping trips every few days, or is committing to a weekly ingredient list the only way to keep a fridge from turning into a landfill again?
Small trips win. Bulk buying only works if you actually cook what you buy, and most of us don't. Grab what you need for three or four days and the fridge stays usable.
