Thought reusable bags were a gimmick till my fridge stopped smelling like old celery after day 3
Picked up a set of silicone bags at the hardware store for $12 last month, and my romaine lettuce is still crisp after a week, so has anyone else found one specific swap that actually cut down their food waste?

Wait, you actually noticed a difference in your fridge smell too? I thought I was just being dramatic but my fridge definitely doesn't have that weird funk anymore. I was super skeptical about silicone bags, figured they'd just be another thing to wash. Then I threw some spring mix in one and it lasted almost 10 days without getting slimy. Now I'm the person telling everyone to ditch their ziplocs for these things, feels like I joined a cult or something.

Read something the other day about how the silicone just doesn't trap moisture the same way plastic does, that's probably why your spring mix lasted so long. @harper_smith you're definitely not alone on the cult thing, I've been converting my whole family too and they think I'm nuts.
