PSA: My leftover chili turned into a science experiment after I forgot it in the back for 2 weeks
I made a big batch of turkey chili last month and shoved it behind some yogurt containers in my tiny apartment fridge. Pulled it out yesterday and found a fuzzy green layer on top and the smell hit me like a truck. Had to toss the whole thing and scrub the shelf with bleach water. Anyone else got a horror story from forgetting leftovers in the back corner?

My buddy Kyle found a Tupperware of spaghetti he'd forgotten about for three weeks, said the lid was bulging and when he opened it the smell made his whole roommate move out that weekend.

Man, that story hits close to home. I found a container of chili in the back of my fridge that was about a month old. When I cracked the lid, this thick green fog rolled out and it smelled like a dead animal mixed with old socks. Had to throw the whole Tupperware away, no way I was cleaning that.
