Am I the only one who bought a $4 fridge thermometer and found out my milk was sitting at 45 degrees?
For about a year I kept dumping milk and yogurt early because it smelled off, and I just blamed my grocery store in Amarillo for it. Last month I grabbed a cheap fridge thermometer, put it on the middle shelf, and it read 45 degrees while the dial inside said I was set to 37. Turns out the cold air was all going to the back and the front of the shelves were way warmer. I dropped the setting down a notch, moved the milk to a lower shelf, and I have not thrown out a single carton in 5 weeks. Anyone else find out the hard way that their fridge had warm spots?
