Switched from wire brushes to poly brushes for flue cleaning

I used to swear by wire brushes for everything, but after messing up a stainless steel liner on a job in Richmond last month, I finally gave poly brushes a real try. The difference in how they handle creosote buildup without scratching is pretty wild actually. Still reach for wire on heavy glaze but for regular maintenance poly brushes do the job way smoother. Has anyone else made the switch or found a good reason to stick with one over the other?

Honestly, I switched to poly brushes and immediately scratched my face on a flue pipe, proving I'm the real hazard.

And honestly @davidh88, that's the real calibration test nobody talks about. If you can brush without taking out an eye or catching a flue pipe to the face, you're doing better than most of us.
