Last week I stopped using my shop vac for chimney cleanouts, big mistake
I used to drag my shop vac up to every roof job for 6 years, figured it was the only way to catch all the creosote dust before it hit the customer's yard. Last week I switched to just dropping a tarp over the fireplace opening and brushing straight down, figured the mess would stay contained. But now I'm finding soot smears on their carpet and baseboards, how do you guys keep the dust from escaping without hauling a vac up three stories?
