Found a raccoon in a chimney last month and tried something stupid that worked

Got a call for a blocked flue in a house near the river. The usual rods and brushes weren't making a dent. I could hear something moving up there. My helper said, 'Just play some loud music, they hate that.' As a joke, I put my phone in the fireplace and blasted a polka playlist for about ten minutes. Sure enough, a very annoyed raccoon came scrambling down and out the cleanout door. I've never seen anything like it. Has anyone else tried something weird that actually got an animal to leave?
