Finally gave the rotary brush a real chance after 15 years

I've been sweeping chimneys since 2001 and always figured the rotary brush attachments were just gimmicks for the newer guys. Last month I had a job over in Billings with a heavy creosote buildup that my regular wire brush just kept skating over. I borrowed a rotary kit from a younger fella on site, and it cut through in about 20 minutes what I'd been fighting for an hour. Has anyone else switched tools this late in their career, or do you stick with what you know from the start?
