Client's dog knocked my brush cart down a 3-story flue chase

I was on a routine sweep out in Clovis last Friday, finishing up a liner inspection on a rental property. The homeowner let their lab mix run loose in the backyard while I had my rods and rotary brush set up near the chase opening. Dog bolted after a squirrel, clipped the cart, and sent my whole kit tumbling down the 35-foot chase, snapped two poly rods and bent my 10-inch brush beyond saving. I had to drive 40 minutes back to the shop for spares, then re-sweep the top section because debris had shifted when everything crashed. The client offered to cover the damage, which was nice, but I told them it was my fault for not securing the gear. Anyone else had a pet or kid mess with their setup mid-job, and how did you handle the cleanup without losing your cool?
