Shoutout to the new guy who saved a 50 top reservation from disaster

We had a massive corporate dinner booked for Friday night, and our main oven went down right as we were firing the first course. This new prep cook, Leo, who just moved here from Miami, remembered a trick his abuela used with a cast iron pan on the flat top. He basically re-plated the whole protein service for 50 people in 15 minutes, and the guests never knew. Has anyone else had a kitchen disaster totally saved by a random bit of someone else's experience?

Sounds like a normal Tuesday in any decent kitchen.
