My $23 grocery run last Tuesday fed me 4 dinners and I'm done pretending coupons are the secret
I hit the Aldi on Crenshaw at 8am and walked out with a bag of dried lentils, a 5lb bag of rice, two onions, and a carton of eggs for $23, and made lentil soup, rice and eggs, and a big pot of beans that kept me full through Friday, so why do folks keep pushing $9 coupon apps when plain staples still win?
Staples are great until you've eaten lentils and rice four days straight and want to never see a bean again. Coupon apps make more sense for folks who don't have an hour to cook every night or a kitchen that's actually stocked. Cheap is only cheap if you can keep it up.
