I finally read the back of a ramen pack and did the math on 3 packs a day
Last Friday I was broke until payday and living on those 25 cent chicken ramen packs, just crushing 3 a day for like 2 weeks. My roommate watches me eat them dry one night and goes, 'you know one pack is 380 calories, right?' So I pull out my phone and add it up and I'm eating almost 1,200 calories a day of basically just salt and noodles. Then it hits me that a 5 pound bag of rice is $4 and a dozen eggs is $3, and for a whole week that combo fed me way better. Does anyone else have a cheap staple that costs less per meal than ramen? I need options that aren't just noodles and regret.
