The guy at the pawn shop in Tulsa talked me into ditching my debit card for good
I used to swipe my debit card for everything, even a $2 coffee, until a guy named Ray at a pawn shop on 11th Street in Tulsa asked me why I was paying fees to borrow my own money. He said he hadn't touched a card in 9 years and pulled a fat envelope of cash out of his jacket to prove it. I started pulling $200 out every Friday and living off that, and by the third week I actually knew where my money went. Now I'm wondering if any of you still keep a card around just for gas or bills, or did you cut it off completely?
