Hit exactly $500 in my cash envelope for groceries last month and it was the weirdest thing

I counted it three times at the checkout because I was so shocked that my usual $475 budget actually went the full distance without me having to dip into the emergency fund, has anyone else had a moment where the cash math just lined up perfectly?

Take that victory lap, you earned it. When the cash lines up like that I always grab a little treat (like a fancy coffee or a fancy chocolate bar) just to mark the occasion. My trick is rounding up each item in my head by a dollar or two before I check out, so the total always feels like a surprise.
